How Effective is your Cincinnati Training Center?

Have you ever noticed how employees, despite endless hours of Cincinnati training classes, never seem to “get it”?  They somehow manage to fumble through their job in a terribly inefficient manner just to get mediocre results.  It’s frustrating right?  Ever wonder why you are
even bothering with Cincinnati training centers and classes when it seems to be so inefficient?

Unfortunately, measuring the efficiency of Cincinnati training centers and classes is next to impossible.  Especially when you have an office full of people going in a million different directions and doing things a million different ways.  Not having a streamlined process will make the daunting task of training even more unbearable.

Cincinnati Training Complaints

The number one complaint I hear in Cincinnati about training is that it is not job specific.  We send our employees to countless hours of training to learn everything we can possibly teach only to walk away with one or two tangible tidbits.  Remember when you were in high school, sitting in algebra class?  I bet you, like me, were thinking
to yourself  “Come on, when am I ever going to use this in real life?”  Fast forward a few years.  Your employees are having these same thought now, sitting in these training courses learning 100 new concepts and 100 different ways to do each one.  Focus in on the task at hand; eliminate all the other “noise” and you will have a much more successful training session.

In Cincinnati we have several training centers and I encourage you to use them as much as possible.  Getting your employees out of the office and away from the chaos of everyday work will in and of itself  be conductive to learning.  These facilities are wonderful because it gives your employees a chance for hands on learning with their peers.  Hands on learning is something that I have always believed in.  I don’t think I have ever met someone who preferred either a lecture of a presentation over hands on learning.  Hands on gives everyone the chance to make mistakes and then learn how to fix them.  If you can get an instructor that is lively and truly loves to help others  succeed you will have a recipe for success.  Being able to engage your employees will keep them tuned into the training and will raise your results!

Let’s take hands on learning a step further.  Realistically we all learn a little differently.  Having open labs during training is an essential part of the learning experience.  If the only time we work with new software or process is during a few hours of training on
Friday, it will be long gone before we get back to the office on Monday.  There has to be a continuous stream of knowledge flowing for anything to take root.  Spread the training out over the course of several days or even weeks if necessary keeping the sessions to four hours or so.  Using a “blitz” tactic on training will leave you and your employees frustrated.

Cincinnati Training Conclusion

Finally, make sure that you are offering follow up support.  Things always go smoothly in training.  No matter how much you prepare your employees for the day to day tasks there are always things that happen that are not supposed to.  If it is possible, bring your trainer into the office setting so that they can understand your process and teach you a few custom tips that will work for your office.  Once your Cincinnati employees have a handle on the day to day tasks they will be much more open to learning a more efficient way of doing things.  Hopefully you will consider us for all your Cincinnati training needs.
