508 Accessibility

Section 508 requires that when Federal agencies develop, procure, maintain, or use electronic and information technology that Federal employees with disabilities have access to; and use of information and data that is comparable to the access and use by Federal employees who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency.

Section 508 also requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information or services from a Federal agency, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency.

As a contractor providing and/or offering services to Federal Agencies, TACTIX Consulting Group, Inc. supports this effort, and part of our continuous improvement initiative is to meet or exceed the Section 508 guidelines.  TACTIX Consulting Group will operate in compliance for Section 508 for all our services.

In our Training and Education division we partner with agencies that also support the Section 508 guidelines.  When we purchase any new hardware or software product this Section 508 guideline takes a vital role on the decision of which product will be purchased.

In our Consulting division our staff will support the integration of assistive tools within their system development projects to satisfy the criteria of Section 508 in all federal contracts we support or will support or provide in the future.

TACTIX Consulting Group will provide any necessary training for our employees who will need to implement new systems that must adhere to Section 508 guidelines.  In addition all reasonable efforts will be put forth to accommodate needs that may be related to older technology that is still in use.
